Slide (slid/slid):
“The kids slid on the water slide.”
“Even though the ground is slippery, no one has slid yet.”


 

Speak (spoke/spoken):
“I spoke with the teacher about the child.”
“Has anyone spoken to the child about this problem?”


 

Speed (sped/sped):
“The car driver sped across the finish line.”
“He has sped on nearly every road in the state.”


 

Spend (spent/spent):
“The rich couple spent hundreds of dollars going to restaurants.”
“Has a trillion dollars ever been spent at one time?”


 

Spit (spit/spit):
“The man chewed tobacco and spit it into the ground.”
“He wouldn't have spit it out if he knew it was illegal in that area.”


 

Split (split/split):
“The chef split the pineapple in half.”
“They've already split up. So don't bother talking to them."

Los niños se resbalaron en el tobogán de agua.
“Even though the ground is slippery, no one has slid yet.”

A pesar de que el piso está resbaloso, todavía nadie se ha resbaló.


 

Speak (spoke/spoken):

Hablé con el profesor sobre el niño.
