Section 10: give - have

Give (gave/given):
“Look, the funny man gave me a Popsicle!”
"We've already given a lot of money to charity this year."

 

 

Go (went/gone):
“She was talking to Amy on the phone when she went to the store."
“I asked them why they had gone away from home.”

 

 

Grind (ground/ground):
“The farmer ground the coffee beans into powder.”
“Once the coffee has been ground, it can be used.”

 

 

Grow (grew/grown):
“My grandfather grew a really big garden.”
“When the boy had grown bigger, he started to play sports.”

 


Hang (hung/hung):
“The woman hung a new ornament on her Christmas tree.”
“The other ornaments had already been hung on the tree.”

 

 

Have (had/had):
“She only had a new car for three weeks, and then her parents took it away.”
“I've wanted to go, but haven't had the opportunity.”

Mira, el hombre gracioso me dió una paleta.
"We've already given a lot of money to charity this year."

Ya hemos dado mucho dinero a organizaciones beneficas este año.

 

 

Go (went/gone):
“She was talking to Amy on the phone when she went to the store."

Estaba hablando por teléfono a Amy cuando fue a la tienda.
“I asked them why they had gone away from home.”

Les pregunté porque se habían ido de casa.

 

 

Grind (ground/ground):
“The farmer ground the coffee beans into powder.”

El granjero molió los granos de café a polvo.
“Once the coffee has been ground, it can be used.”

Una vez que el café ha sido molido, se puede usar.

 

 

Grow (grew/grown):
