Grow back: crecer de nuevo después de haber parado
Lizards have the ability to
grow their tails back.
Some bald men buy products to
grow back their hair.

Grow into (something): crecer o aumentar el tamaño para caber en una prenda de vestir
It's ok to buy kids clothes that are too big for them since they'll eventually
grow into them.
My son finally
grew into the shirt I bought for him.

Grow out of (something): perder un costumbre o una cosa por ser mayor que antes
He used to bite his fingernails but he's
grown out of it by now.
When I
grow out of my clothes, I give them to my younger brother.

Hand down (something): transmitir bienes usados o dejar una herencia.
Usually older siblings will hand down their old clothes to their younger brothers and sisters.
He's going to
hand down the house to his oldest son.

Hand in: entregar
The teacher says we must
hand in our homework before class starts.
It's best to personally
hand in job applications.

Hand out: distribuir
Everyone became quiet as she began to
hand out the exams.
Will you
hand these out for me?
